You’re at a dinner party, or a frat party or no party because you don’t have friends so you’re on chatroullete– and there is a person that doesn’t have it together. They just don’t. Their girlfriend just broke up with them. They lost their job. Their LARPing character recently perished in an epic battle.

And despite this– Despite the fact that you are clearly in a better place than them, and there is no need to make it worse–you do. You feel the need to state your loftier position in life.
